Myself, wife and parents stayed at this fantastic property for 2 nights at the beginning of June and I have to say all four of us were extremely impressed by not only the excellent standard of accomodation but also by the way we were treated by Elisa and Michaela!
The rooms we stayed in were finished to an extremely high standard and the facilities in the room were impeccable. It is quite evident that the rooms have been furnished to a very high standard and time and effort has been taken when decorating!
The rooms had everything required and more for a stay in Rome.
I was actually quite happy with the breakfast arrangements as the girls gave us a list of a couple of local bakeries and cafes to try which in my opinion all adds to the fun and character of visiting a city like Rome. The little family bakery round the corner served us with exquisite pastries and coffee for our breakfast at what can only be described as more than reasonable prices.
The choice of restaurants in the Trastevere area is really good. There is also a great selection of bars ranging from all prices to the simple Trastevere bars where the locals pop in for a coffee and drink.
I think the one thing that bowled us over more than anything was the service we received from Elisa and Michaela, both beforehand during and after our stay.
They were extremely efficient in replying to all correspondence and requests in the time leading up to our visit in rome, including arranging airport, cruise terminal transfers, restaurant reservations, lists of bars and local sights which we could explore during our visit.
Upon arrival Elisa made us feel extremely welcome straight form the off and made sure check in and initial settling in period was smooth and efficient. The next morning we were greeted by Michaela, who was also very helpful and full of energy advising us on the options of how we could spend our day in the local area.
Both our rooms were cleaned very early and to an impeccable standard. We wish we had more time to spend in the property but were so enthral led that we decided to book in to the property for five night in October so we can spend more time in Rome. Trastevere is extremely central and is only a short trip to all of the main sites in Rome but the best thing for us was that all the restaurants and bars were tourist free which gave us the opportunity to enjoy some great times in Rome out with the expensive tourist traps.
If coming to Rome please do not hesitate to book a room in the lovely A Trastevere.M.E.
I am sure like us you will find both Elisa and Michaela delightful and the perfect hosts!
Thank you both!
